Af en toe duikt er een waarschuwing op in een lokale krant tegen namaak en wordt met strenge straffen
gedreigd. Want het was dikwijls zo dat als een produkt succes had er na verloop van tijd wel een ander
produkt op de markt kwam waarvan de naam en de presentatie zoveel leek op het gevestigde produkt
dat van toeval geen sprake meer kan zijn. De maker is dan een collega uit Nederland of een bedrijf uit
het land zelf of Hamburg. Op flessen staan ook wel waarschuwingen. Het afgedrukte bij-etiket behoort
bij het etiket op de voorpagina. Let op de stichtingsdatum. Soms was die nauwelijks meer bekend, tot
dat iemand tot de ontdekking kwam dat het bedrijf langer bestond dan tot dat moment aangenomen.
In Schiedam zijn wei meer bedrijven in de loop der jaren 'verouderd Want hier geldt: hoe ouder
- hoe beter.
